A long career came to an unexpected conclusion followed by a period of trying to reconcile this change. Initially, I believed it would be quite easy to just hit restart and begin anew. Soon it became apparent that I needed to accept this new stage. Slowly, I began to realize the love of family and friends that surrounded me. Encouraged by family and friends (both longtime and recent), my interest in photography and music was reinvigorated and to some extent, became interconnected. Local artists, photographers and musicians have been the people providing the inspiration to develop and launch this site.

The starting point was in March 2017 when my friend Bob strongly urged me to accept an invitation to participate in Leadership Akron's NEXT program. My involvement in NEXT led me to Roger who is a member of the Highland Square Merchants Association's PorchRokr Festival, Akron's premier musical event. In January 2018, I began participating in PorchRokr as a member of the Performers Selection committee. The day long event held on the third Saturday in August provided me the opportunity to assist other members in various capacities to make the event as rewarding as possible to all who attended and those who performed.

Parallel to my involvement in NEXT, I began to renew my interest in photography. With the wonderful assistance of my photographer buddies, Shari and Rosette, I began to develop a keener sense of capturing nature scenes. On the musical side of things, Erin, Ryan, Aimee and Al have provided me opportunities along with many encouraging words to help me photograph local, regional and national performers at various venues in Northeastern Ohio.

From time to time, I intend to present some of my work for my family, friends and visitors viewing pleasure. Eventually, I hope to put some entries in the blog section too.
